@theresnotime Wikipedia is very bad at topics where expert consensus and popular opinion are at odds. Psychiatry is one of those areas. And all it takes are a couple of editors with very strong views and who know how to abuse the process. Another editor basically left Wikipedia altogether because of the abuse.

Wikiproject Medicine has written about this extensively. They even had to write a separate rule for reliable sources for med articles (MedRS) because of inappropriate sourcing.
