if you federate with threads, you're opening up aII your users to messages from Iibs of tik tok, moms for Iiberty etc etc.

how are you going to moderate millions of users many of them huge influencers with fans who follow orders of attacking whoever they're pointed at when they come for your users mastodon dot social? you're going to have to do Threads' moderation for them because its your users they're going to be attacking, harrassing, threatening and sending abuse at. if you federate with threads you better be ready to have enough moderaters to handle however many millions of users they have. serious question: Admins who are planning on federating with Threads, what is your plan when Libs of Tik Tok sends thousands of far right users to harrass one of your users? |
if you as an admin are going to federate with threads it wiII be minutes, minutes untiI you're faced with it being an attack vector against your own users and threads wont do shit to stop them - and then you're going to have to make the decision of who is more important to you.
