If you left Twitter way before Elon Musk was even rumored to buy it because of how it was run under Jack Dorsey, it sure sucks to see people mentally rewriting history to say Twitter only got bad after Musk and Dorsey's new platform is going to be paradise

@RetroSponge yeah, that's the thing: we know he wants stuff like ad revenue and popularity, so either Bluesky fails entirely or it becomes big enough for him to start introducing ads and engagement algorithms

@roxy even apart from the real harm done to people, just not having ads and being able to block topics/people and having them stay blocked is too great to give up
