Yes, privacy is human right, but Signal isnt best choose. Signal is encrypted privacy messanger, but:
- it is centralized
- signal requests phone number
- signal isnt anonymouse messenger
- signal isnt available in f-droid
- unless I do mistake, signal collect some data about you (u can check with exodus)

But even all this signal is better then telegram, viber and whatsapp taken one

But Signal has good alternatives:
- matrix (federated messenger with e2e encryption, that works over http(s) protocol and use json)
- session (hybrid messanger with encryption, that works over lokinet. Identifiers in Session are fully random)

Anonymouse is also human right
