@stux I'm just worried they'll slow burn this by acting amicable, gain a sizable userbase, leave, and then abuse em. This whole situation is making me antsy... I can't really think of any reason why a corporation like FB would do this otherwise, which is why I completely understand people preblocking. @fosserytech @stux It's already harvested (or you might as well consider it as that). It's public info, they are allowed to crawl it. @strabysme @stux Many coprorations used it. Google Talk, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc. Some still use it in their backends. They went in, got big, and then walled off their garden. @strabysme @scirave @stux both Google Chat and Facebook Messenger (or its predecessor, not sure it had the name yet) used to XMPP clients. |
@scirave I totally feel this and that's why i will be read with the "block button" the day they join and with the first sight of things going wrong
