 It’s kinda sad to see people think I’m ’bribed’ by Meta.. I have not signed anything, I did not attend anything from them nor did I accept anything but still the worst is assumed when I don’t agree on blocking a still in development project that we don’t even know the (domain)name from right away I don’t have any love for Meta or any of such companies whatsoever, that’s why I’m putting all I have in these platforms and guard it with my life so don’t expect Meta to get a ‘free pass’ on anything 19 comments
@stux I'm just worried they'll slow burn this by acting amicable, gain a sizable userbase, leave, and then abuse em. This whole situation is making me antsy... I can't really think of any reason why a corporation like FB would do this otherwise, which is why I completely understand people preblocking. @fosserytech @stux It's already harvested (or you might as well consider it as that). It's public info, they are allowed to crawl it. @strabysme @stux Many coprorations used it. Google Talk, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc. Some still use it in their backends. They went in, got big, and then walled off their garden.  @strabysme @scirave @stux both Google Chat and Facebook Messenger (or its predecessor, not sure it had the name yet) used to XMPP clients. @stux I find your stance ridiculously reasonable. I have really enjoyed the environment you foster here, and I expect you will continue to provide a social, safe place for people like me in the future. So much fuss over things that haven't even happened yet, my goodness. @stux you’re the only one in my feed who is being mature at all about this whole thing, i genuinely appreciate you as my server admin  @stux Seems like guarding something with your life would include vowing to block known enemies.
