"We're 18 years old," Huffman said. "I think it's time we grow up and behave like an adult company."

Says the guy who's behaving like a petulant 5-year old.

@jaredwhite Bold talk coming from the former mod of r/jailbait...

An Obscure Tenet

@KWierso @jaredwhite Please stop repeating this bullshit. Spez was modded on r/jailbait by someone else, which was a thing you could do at the time. Oh yes, you could mod someone without their knowledge or permission.

There are a billion fucking reasons that Discount Brock Turner looking motherfucker can get bent, but that's not even relevant.

KWierso

@obscuretenet @jaredwhite Oh no, did I mess up the minor details about r/jailbait's moderation team? How will I live with myself?

lettuce :godot:

@KWierso @jaredwhite afaik at that point you couldn't refuse being a mod you were just added by another mod. So one of the pedophiles at jailbait added the ceo for shits and he couldn't refuse it due to how the site works

@jaredwhite Oh, they start paying the people who create the value they are thriving on? Just kidding 😂

The Lonesome Driver

@jaredwhite It's funny, cause I've been thinking, I believe that there are no grownups left at the top. If there were, they would not have allowed to reach this point. Capitalism had a good thing going for a while.

(edit: Capitalism has never had any good things going.)

@jaredwhite Maybe paying the Moderators for their labor would be an Adult thing to do.

Fifi Lamoura

@jaredwhite my suspicion he is cosplaying as a CEO are confirmed

Does Reddit's TOS grant them the right to sell the dataset? Because if not, a pre-emptive cease-and-desist from the user base as a class would probably do wonders for their IPO.

Did I say "for"? I meant " to".

Gazillions of nameless, voiceless five-year-olds have been gravely insulted.

Though on the other hand, some kids sure do have that "what's mine is mine and
what's yours is mine too" mentality, just like corporations.
When I was like 6 or 7, my dad used to take me along to go to the house of a
family friend. Family friend owned a slot machine.
So I'd typically ask him if I could have some coin to play. Then I'd play.
If I lost, I'd ask for more coin. If I won,
I'd pocket my winnings and ask for more coin. Either way, I left as a winner.
It was cute when I did it. Not so much when Reddit Boy does it.
