Yars before the war Russian propaganda was talking about neo-nazi in Ukraine. Of cource if they could find and show true neonazi they did it. But they were mixing it sith so many fakes and maniputaltions that most of Ukrainians didn't trust them.
For example Russian media footage about the "crucified boy with panties" has become a popular meme in Ukraine.
I assumed that people ruling Russia know what they were doing. I thought they know that it's propaganda for masses but country isn't completely under the oppression of powerfull nazis that run everything and make all Ukrainians suffer.
But the beginning of war revealed that I was wrong. Looks like they really trusted their propaganda and thought that Ukrainians are under oppression and will support Russia helping them. Like, Russian media (and President?) said that they aren't fighting with Ukrainian people and offered Ukrainian soilders to join them and fight nazis.
You know the results.
Now Russian propaganda says about hundreds of Ukrainian tanks destroyed in recent weeks and etc. It doesn't look trustworthy. And they mix it up recently with obvious fakes even more that they did it few months ago.
I have a strong feeling that people on top of Russia, and especially their President trust all this words again. They think that war is going fine and etc.
I don't know if it is good or bad. It may help Ukrainian army, but it makes Russian army even more unpredictable because they can base their decisions at a very warped information.
