⚡ IG Import + Privacy

We recognize and respect the importance of your privacy.

When you upload your IG .zip, you aren't actually uploading it to the server, rather the .zip is unarchived and handled in your browser.

We do this to preserve your privacy, so only the posts you select to import will be uploaded to the server.

Your DMs and other personal data is never uploaded.

@pixelfed Is there a way to reset your imports and start the whole thing over? I ran into some issues and now some of my posts aren’t visible to import.

@oliver @pixelfed I left it sitting and it eventually finished. Not sure how long it took.

On another note, it did not seem to import apostrophes in descriptions correctly.

@stevevanhorn @pixelfed Is it working for you? Mine's been stuck for quite some time. I assume their servers are a bit overrun at the moment, so it's probably just that.
