@newtsoda god dammit, this must be why allistic people get annoyed at activism instead of approving of it because they think we're just virtue signalling.
Like, no, that's allistic behavior lol, we *actually mean what we say* more often than not. The fact that a lot of people loudly and incorrectly think that nobody would be a good person without societal rules is downright horrifying to me.

@newtsoda I would go so far as to say that this all comes down to the fact that allistic people have an overdeveloped sense of social uniformity, and since they are raised in a capitalist nation, they fall into the uniformity of capitalist thinking - which is to be a heartless robot who will only ever act in self-interest, because that is Literally The Only Way To Succeed within capitalism. (which is what makes it a repugnant and backwards system.)

Then us autistic people actually act the way humans act by default, and have been acting since the dawn of time - with kindness and solidarity. And the allistics get mad because we aren't following their uniform cruelty. Despite the fact that they were the brainwashed ones, and us being autistic is what made us so resistant to brainwashing, which is a fucking superpower that people should respect us for tbpfh.
