@J12t No. There is really no comparison there. They are very different devices for utterly different markets, even if the enormous price differential is ignored. Don't buy the hype. Oh, I've heard you can't wear the Apple goggles with eyeglasses. You have to buy their (presumably expensive) lens inserts if you don't wear contact. So uncool, Apple. Typical.
@lauren I don't think I'm influenced very much by hype here. I've been wanting to have 3D UIs since I dabbled with VRML in the 90s. The Quest by and large is a useless device (I own one).
What I see Apple has done is, one by one, knocked out the reasons why I think the Quest is useless. (There may be other reasons that are obstacles that I don't see yet, I can only talk about what I know now.) But how they have done it is something Meta largely can't copy. That's why I said "toast".
