@endali I remember being shocked when my friend first got 128kbps, and then another got 512 and we were stunned at the speed. Wild times back in dial-up days...! @RachAirStailc @endali Back in the Y2K days, I was upgrading machines at a customer site and needed to download a driver for a unique machine. Customer allowed me to jump on one of their corporate boxes that had wired internet. The driver was about 500KB. It downloaded so fast that I downloaded it 3 times, convinced that there was an error and the download bombed  @endali My younger self would be like "wow, so webpages load instantly, right?" and a tear would appear in my current self's eye. |
