I'm not gonna mute you yet. I'm very dubious about the "mental health" argument that is always trotted out. Unless you provide high quality information to back up this "mental health" argument I'm gonna assume you're talking out the side of your neck and villifying yet another maligned minority. Why is the mental health idea so hard to grasp? The first thing people go to when this sort of thing happens is gun control, but why did they shoot people? Something caused them to snap. Maybe they were bullied, maybe they have anger management issues, maybe it's abuse. Sure, you can tighten the gun laws, but that won't fix the reason they snapped and killed people in the first place. when it take 2 years to get an appointment, how can we help the ones who are seeking it? You're not engaging in good faith. I ask you to seriously, and honestly consider if your position is based on verifiable facts (like @zecuse took time to share) *or* bias and "othering" AKA bigotry. If you find you need to do better, then turn off the Newsmax and become informed! Maybe we in the US *really* need *free* bigotry cessation counseling?!? @justanotherjo @johnnysilverhand @Gumption_Trap @Alchemist_Final @augieray Your best argument for gun ownership is with Switzerland. However, they have both mandatory military service (for able bodied men) AND extremely high gun control.
We also know that taking guns out of circulation will reduce the amount of people that will die by guns. Again, *efficiency* of killing is the key.
