@ivory my onboarding was a tad confusing. Is there a way to detect the existing iOS sub to make the (successful) leap a bit more informed? UX is “great I’m spending $25 and probably orphaning my previous $$”

@ivory maybe I read it too fast. I expected the restore subs to be a bit more explicit. I’m probably not the normal target as I had seen this before trying. Maybe a more explicit quid pro quo is what I was looking for with details. Like “new sub all in $25 starting now plus $8 back” or whatever. Either way I’m in and good. @opkopk yea we can’t really say how much the refund is because Apple calculates all that on their end and every country is different. |
@opkopk If the Mac app onboarding says "upgrade to Universal" then it detects your existing subscription. When you upgrade you get charged the full amount for the new sub, but your start date moves to the present and Apple refunds your old sub the pro-rated amount.
