Honestly, every time I talk about anything trans related or about being inclusive in general, the bigots come out and I get to block them. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. They just can't help themselves.

@gamingonlinux I've been happily finding instances to add to my server's blocklist entirely from those replies. If their instance doesn't have explicit rules against that behaviour, assume it's encouraged and block the whole damned thing.

One of the perks of hosting your own, to be honest, but you can report even to the mastodon.social mods and ask if they think it's worth a site wide suspend.

I have progressed past the "I will be polite and not engage with the clueless" to "I'll be polite, mostly, but I will tell you how wrong you are and bring receipts because obviously no one else has or you just didn't listen particularly well."

Surprisingly, it works with people, even fundamentalist Christians. RU bots and NAZIs, not so much.
