I'm trying to keep up with banning all crypto spam accounts coming from other instances
Each time they hit another instance so some can get through but we'll get them! :nkoHammer:

 @stux BTW DO NOT engage with these bots! It's not worth getting aggravated over, since they're not real people anyway. @stux thank you for all your hard work. I finally got my first crypto spam message a little while ago. I had been feeling a little left out😢 Just kidding but seriously thanks for clamping down. Spammers and scammers are why the internet can’t have nice things. I just got my first real spam on Mastodon. I suppose that means the platform has officially made it… 😅  I got one in the early morning hours and one about an hour ago. I report, report to the host server and then block. Are you getting those reports? I'm glad the system is working! One more question, and then I will get out of your hair.... Is there a system where you report this to somewhere so that admins of other servers can see and block before the spammers become a problem on their instances?  @stux gotta catch them all! Thank you for your work and dedication! Is it all DM spam? Maybe it would make sense to ask people to enable "Block direct messages from people you don't follow" in preferences? And to flip that to default-on for new accounts?  @rysiek Where is that setting for an individual, and how is that made the default? I've searched through my settings and can't find it. Thx |
