Even if you're not doing it, it makes it look like one's search history is tethered to their account. I suspect it's going to make privacy conscious people wary. The link states that you've "removed all logging of user IDs" so I did read that, but it still leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Any chance of auto-detecting the user is using the Mullvad network? What happened on my system? Without logs I am afraid we cannot see much. If you are concerned, send a problem support to us from your Mullvad VPN app, and / or contact our Support Team with more information by email. support at mullvad dot net  @mullvadnet I see a lot of people confused about getting a 502 error: it is because you are not connected to the Mullvad VPN, as written in the blog post. You have to have an account.  @mullvadnet ..ehh,, why do you need to "log in" if you're already on a mullvad IP? To mitigate abuse, this is how we have implemented it for the time being. Future releases may well alter this of course  In the future maybe. It would be nice to have it work for anyone connectiing from any of our VPN servers, including our partners. The problem is mitigating abuse. Let's see in the future! |
