@dantescanline @kevin @endali @asahi95@stop.voring.me thanks for the meme! I've seen it pop up a few times and it never fails to bring a smile to my face :) Here's one I made in response to it before: @endali Yes! BRING BACK THE 90s WEB! :iluvu:β :nyancat_rainbow:β:nyancat_body:β:nyancat_face:β :hamsterdance:β :flow:β :netkitty:β :ablobcatpopcorn:β @Em0nM4stodon @endali I don't care what anyone says: there is no ethical consumption of mass social media. Centralized social media doesn't have uses to make the world a better place: it has methods of mass advertising and content manipulation. The 90s web is how we reclaim our lives. Sometimes, you gotta step back with the lessons you learned and improve what you had to get better. @endali does <marquee> still work on modern browsers? crucial. @RachaelAva1024 oh lol sorry... idk even how you got tagged on that reply. it was just a joke about the old timey Internet. <marquee> was an html tag that caused text to scroll across the page or bounce back and forth. it was awful and wonderful and i have no idea if modern browsers support it still. π΅ @endali @asahi95@stop.voring.me this beautiful art piece if you haven't seen it https://how-i-experience-web-today.com @rickwallace It's perfect, down to the last moment trying to close the tab. @rickwallace
@endali @asahi95 I know it's missing the point, but, shouldn't the cookie popup default all options to off? GDPR enforces that all cookies should be opt-in except when required for the web to be functional and/or for non-profit organizations @endali@tech.lgbt to an extent, there's kind of reason this web died @endali @asahi95@stop.voring.me @endali is there a hashtag or a community for people interested in this approach to web on mastodon? iβm very curious |
@endali@tech.lgbt This is the most accurate meme I have ever seen for the web, both old and modern β:akko_giggle:β
