@Mastodon A few months ago, at your request, many people here exchanged views on the pros and cons of QT in a very long thread. I was there. The exchange was clear in the matter and very polite. There were a great many people against QT.

It is disconcerting when this post then says "we" asked for it. Some people here certainly asked for it. Some. Not all. Not "we".
