Years ago, I got to interview and hang out with Kevin Smith backstage before a show, and he was incredibly kind and generous with his time.
It's good that he's now talking openly about his mental health struggles, and I know he's worried that he's going to get hate for it so I'm sharing this for the positive vibes that should be sent his way. https://people.com/health/clerks-director-kevin-smith-reveals-he-got-treatment-after-his-complete-break-from-reality-exclusive/?utm_campaign=peoplemagazine&utm_content=new&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_term=64492414adc86c0001a3771c
@mmasnick He seems like such a thoughtful guy. Maybe it was just what media I was consuming, but he is the only person I saw who'd spent a lot of time in the Weinstein orbit to really muse about what he might have failed to see and what his personal responsibility should have been to notice and speak up. Not defensive “well I never saw…” junk, an actual sense of personal introspection.
