Drew this a long time ago... "Different ways to sit."

What's your favorite way to sit? I'm definitely #4 from the left :>.

the same character sitting in a variety of different positions.

@rek I would be the fidget who passes through all of these much too fast.

@rek Something like the ones on the ends is my favorite, but my body disagrees.

@rek either 4 from the left or 4 from the right :3

Csepp ๐ŸŒข

@rek The leftmost one but with a zafu. But I try to avoid sitting if I can.

Blinkie

@rek I'm usually either the first one, the last one, or sitting on one of my feet, which is not shown.

There's a stereotype that bisexuals can't sit "normally" in a chair. There's a similar stereotype about folks with adhd. As a bisexual with adhd I am almost completely unable to use a chair as intended.

@rek the backs are all way too vertical in these to be me

DELETED

@rek last one on the right or the fourth from the right. I like sitting cross legged but most chairs are not built for that haha.

@rek At the moment, one leg like 4, and sitting on other foot.

Dakedres

@rek If you have long enough legs, you can do #1 but with your feet on top of each thigh. I think it's comfier

@rek number 3 (from left or right) ๐Ÿ˜Š

Duncan J

@rek thatโ€™s totally by default pose. ๐Ÿ˜‚

NMS

@rek 7 but crossed at the ankle, not the knee

Gwyn ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

@rek 7 followed by 1 depending on the surface

R E K

@Scarlet a good pose candidate for an extension of this drawing :>

cathos

@rek I do 4th from the left a lot, but I'm always leaning against something with my knees, and end up with achey hips. Same with 2nd from the right.

Tobias

@rek I'm seven and eight from the left.

@rek
My way of sitting is some variant of the first one, and seiza (was expecting to see it here too!).
As other people have said, I can't sit like a normal person either. So I decided, if I'm sitting on any chair like I'm sitting on the floor, why not just sit on the floor? I ended up making my own zabuton and now I'm experiencing the freedom of floor-sitting.

@psiie aw~ present me AND me from 13 years ago is happy to hear it (this is an old drawing :>).

leah & asm & forth, oh my!

@rek 7th from left, or with my ankles crossed (and my legs tucked under the chair, if i'm at a desk)

lky

@rek #2 from the right. I'm all for asymmetric gestures

poetaster

@rek #4 from right. Then 3 and finally2, depending on the weather.

@rek
5 7 8 but often with a shaking leg especially when I haven't slept enough.

But the women in my life sit on the floor a lot or do the high tucked or crossed legs. The chairs are too tall for them; their heels don't touch the floor on most chairs. Truly a (generally) male privilege I was blind to until recently.

@rek

This is cute. I'm mostly first and last, with a lot of variations of this ( --> ) mixed in. You might have to re-draw it?

Sitting sorta cross-legged, but with one leg vertical, elbow on knee.

@rek

As I was crafting my previous response, my cat came over to model another one, which is basically "Last + Cat".

Top-down view of cross-legged sit with cat sprawled in lap, looking up at the camera.
Player One

@rek #7 for the most part and #1 in the sofa.
