@foone So... do you think this was just about repairability, or were they maybe worried about heat-damage to the part if they soldered ir directly? @foone in 10th grade electrical engineering I was trained to do this to reduce the likelihood of frying a chip when soldering. But then in the rest of my life I was trained to save a few cents per unit. |
