honestly props to ABC for making a logo 60 years ago and sticking to it.

A grid of ABC logos over the years. The first, from 1945, is just serif text reading "American Broadcasting Company".
1952: ABC in uppercase serifs centered in a circle.
1953: Same thing but this time, an eagle is carrying the circle.
1956: lowercase sans serif "abc" written in the aperture of a lowercase "a".
1958: A rectangle divided into two. Lowercase "abc" on the left, "American Broadcasting Company" on the right.
1962: Lowercase "abc" in geometric sans serifs in a black circle. It has changed a little bit over the years, but it's mostly been the same. 1988 redesign made the font thinner, 2007 added some gloss to the circle, 2013 reduced the gloss into soft highlights at the top and bottom of the orb, and 2021 reverts to the 1962 logo with slightly more padding.

im fine if we don't want to talk about whatever happened in 1953.

@samhenrigold the American eagle has captured the power of electromagnetism with its beak, what's not to like?
