A person in a crowd says to themselves "I gotta get out of here".
They take a train through the country, board a plane and then... a spacecraft.
While peacefully floating above Earth they are approached by another person. "Hello, friend" they say.
The original subject is trying to get away by swimming in the vacuum of space as the other person follows saying "Hey, I know you from high school".
