@Gargron Question: How about letting the user decide how stuff appear in their feed? Like, if I want to see the most liked posts from my instance/hashtags I follow etc, I can enable that using a few simple toggles.. it would let people create their own feed algorithm to a certain degree.. @Gargron will mainline mastodon get markdown/html posts and custom emoji reactions finally? @Gargron at least we know it won't involve a cringey dog meme, this is a place for grown ups (mostly) @Gargron Looking forward to it! Mastodon, while had a great community takes a bit of mental adjustment to understand “how it works”. The better the UI the more of the adoption rate I hope! @Gargron I sure hope some work has been done on the IOS add in regards to voiceover screen reader users. The scrolling is kind of broken. @Gargron like moving the buttons/slide bar from right to bottom because people are accidentally clicking on random things. Or have someway to announce people are blocked instead of getting an error. Maybe hashtags don’t spam user homepage. Just saying these are the top complaints when people visit here. @Gargron Hi! Do you have any plans to create a normal desktop client in any feasible future? :) Mobile apps are great (and even there are cool alternatives like Ice Cubes) but no good app for desktops… :( everything that tries to pack web into an electron (or similar) — em.. Let’s say gently — doesn’t suit for me well :) @Gargron Hi Eugen, could you create a 'For You' page and set it as the default homepage, similar to how Twitter does it? This way, people can effortlessly discover new posts and users. Overall, it would be great if you could incorporate the same user interface and discoverability features from Twitter into Mastodon. |
@Gargron Bring it on Eugene lad! :mastodance:
