Corinthian Myrtle Wreath ~ 330–250 BCE
Myrtle was a symbol of the goddess Aphrodite. Although we can’t be entirely sure how this wreath was used, we can make some educated guesses based on the connection with Aphrodite. Possible uses of this gorgeous piece include weddings (the union of a couple) or as a prize won in honour of the goddess.
