I love finding split cutting boards in the trash, a bit of sanding, a drop of jbweld in the seam, and it's as good as new. Cutting boards are usually hardwoods or bamboo, perfect for building stuff aboard.

We'll use this one to make a second shelf in the cabinet.

@avibryant ah yeah! we have a sort of wine holder made from it that we use to keep bottles appart.

@neauoire I'm working with Amos and the local recycling society here to turn milk jugs into HDPE sheets. Very curious to see how they turn out for use on boats (among other things).

@avibryant oh cool! are you grinding them to pellets first?

@neauoire yes, shred them first and then heat&press them. Using the designs from preciousplastic.com/solutions/ . But we won't have the machines for a few months.
