Just in case you’re paying for Twitter Blue but are too ashamed to admit it, you can hide the blue checkmark.

@atomicpoet Elon, are people willing to pay for blue checkmarks or not?

DELETED

@atomicpoet Well there's a whole movement there that on the day they activate the paid blue checks and deactivate the legacy blue checks, people will simply block any blue checks from that point onward.

Iron Curtain (Chiptunes)

@atomicpoet Now it's Money for nothing whereas before it was checks for free.

@atomicpoet Hard to think of another legal product that one of it's "features" is that if you are ashamed to admit you are paying for it, you can hide your purchase as part of the service. Can anyone come up with one?

DNSLookerUpper.com

@atomicpoet hmm, i made a chrome extension that changes bluecheckmarks to bootlicker emojis. waiting for google to approve it. i'm guessing this could bypass it...

@atomicpoet The people at the Onion must be crying at this point, you can’t get dumber than this.

I recently saw how a streamer bought TW blue live because the 2FA was going to be disabled (the SMS based one, but it didn't specify) the person got scared and pay to keep it enabled. That is genius terror marketing and should be illegal.

@atomicpoet so...we pay $8 for the privilege of hiding the blue check?

Sounds like a solid benefit - owning an invisible check mark!
