me too but that was easy for me. what I miss is the opportunity to interact with certain people there, especially when I read something they wrote or a podcast they were on. I want to be part of a coordinated effort to get people to switch, cause a dominant #fediverse can greatly improve the public conversation, making it less subject to manipulation by the already powerful and wealthy. but most others don't seem to care. they think the folks I love there are bad faith idiots.

Deleted my twitter account today. It’s a cesspool over there and not good for my mental health.

@mmasnick I'm still working on it. I need to find ways to bring more followers in. Twitter gets worse every day, and if I didn't need it for work, I'd likely not be on it at all.

Hope that won't be the case for much longer. Seems the company is doing everything it can to cease existing by 2024.

@mmasnick Same here. I had 64 followers on the Twitter account that got blocked unless I deleted a tweet critical of an ultra-right-wing politician. I get way more engagement on Mastodon and more followers too. Twitter was always so biassed.

You can consider me a twofer. My (differently named) bird site account follows you but I rarely access the site.
Ethical problem: How do you unfollow someone on the bird site without making them think your account was a now-deleted bot or that bird site management is manipulating their followers?
