Last year, Meta introduced NFTs to Facebook and Instagram. Now they’re getting rid of the feature.

Meta will always be trend chasers, well behind the curve.

They’re like your uncle who spent last Christmas awkwardly talking to you about their fidget spinner drop shipping business—shocked to realize no one wants them anymore.

@atomicpoet true, and of a pattern for a company established by a lame bro whose first version was a way to rate the hotness of women in his undergraduate class. So unimaginative.

@atomicpoet and their trend chasing is so glaringly obvious to the most untrained of eyes.

@atomicpoet That's the problem with companies obsessed with finding "the next big thing" instead of making quality products or services.

Don't worry about making something good, just look at what people want RIGHT NOW.

Ugh, I think I accidentally ranted about the publishing industry.

@atomicpoet it’s the curse of riches - much as with Google, when you have a gold mine in your backyard that can fund virtually anything you want, it’s incredibly hard to find the kind of discipline that is necessary to build truly new things. And the most innovative people often don’t want to work for a big company- they like taking big risks that are hard to do surrounded by layers of management.
