Admittedly, what Meta’s plan is isn’t entirely clear, but it would make sense for Instagram to be the first to implement AP, as it has had its own culture since before Meta acquired it and, for quite some time, IG folks have been able to chart their own course for the platform. Since Pixelfed is the only AP like app in the space, it would be a good way for Meta to dip their toes in the AP water without cannon balling into the pool.
