@alexwild Uhm, that's highly subjective. I think a better universal advice would be to find hashtags that match one's interests and follow them first, then look for people to follow personally in that feed.

@dmbaturin the hashtag follow function here is phenomenal. Found a lot of folks that way.

@alexwild @dmbaturin it’s so good! I was intermittently checking some but then followed those hashtags so serendipitous and delightful posts from random folks in my feed.

@r343l @dmbaturin Did I ever mention how happy I am to see you here? It’s like the old days.

@alexwild It’s small enough that I’m not (yet) using lists and not the whole following (and of course no company switching me back to algo timeline of ENGAGE OUTRAGE ENGAGE which is partly why I started using lists.)

@alexwild @dmbaturin how can you follow a hashtag? I have to search for them but I can't save a hashtag to show up on my feed

@s1m0n4 @alexwild @dmbaturin Some apps might not have the function yet. Via browser it works:
Search for a hashtag, click it. Then you see it over the hashtag timeline. At the right you have the follow icon, a person with a "+". Click that and you get the postings with this hashtag into your own timeline.

@s1m0n4 @alexwild @dmbaturin it's easy with megalodon app. There are little icons in the right of the #hashtag.

@dmbaturin @alexwild Completely agree. You can have a full time line following just a few hashtags.
It is one of the big pluses of Mastodon.
