For those of you who don’t know what that means: #Kubernetes (also referred to as K8s) is a technology that helps administrators like @Gargron with running software on servers. The special thing is: It makes it easier to install and update software on many servers at once and „orchestrate“ the many parts of an application like #Mastodon like webserver and database. 1/2

Also it provides ways to „scale“ an application, so that it automagically runs on more hardware when the usage rises. Kubernetes is quite complex stuff and difficult to master. So kudos to Eugen for having made this big step! I use K8s myself at scale so I know what that means 😅 2/2
