At the very southern end of Victoria(BC), you can walk all along the log-strewn beach. You can usually log-skip for a long while. During times of the year where there is less driftwood, walking on the stone beach is also nice (love the sound of waves retreating from a stone beach).
Parts of the shore is lined with rocky walls, and some bits can be challenging to cross (esp at high tide), but it's a good way to fight restlessness.
Thankful to have this place just a short walk away :>

@rek I love the focus of log skipping! Just enough concentration needed — for the body — to free the mind, for being in the moment.

@rek I walked the Dallas Rd beach for the first time just recently and it hugely improved my impression of Victoria.

@avibryant it makes spending winter here tolerable :). On clear days, it is nice to see the mountains in Washington.

Also, they renovated the dog park and holy hell... it's kind of amazing. SO much space...!
