@cstross There's a Russian tradition dating back to Gagarin where cosmonauts pee on the wheel of the bus that took them to the launchpad. The old suit designs meant they could get their junk out and do it easily (even Valentina Tereshkova managed!). The new style means they have to carry a vial of their own piss with them to tip on the wheel.
