@Eric_Neue a bit, the solution I'll use will be somewhat ditherpunk-y, I'll fill the screen with increasingly denser half-tone patterns.

@neauoire can you switch the pixels between black and white fast enough that they stay in a gray area? I bet you can do it faster than 60hz
