 Okay lets try this one more time. We are limiting the list to 2500 spots for tonight just to make sure things are working okay. If there are no major TestFlight issues, we will open up the rest of the spots tomorrow morning, Texas time. Important: If you are already in the current Mac TestFlight, you'll have to join this one again, unfortunately. The one you already joined won't get updates and will stop working after some time. Sorry for the annoyance!  @_Davidsmith if you didn't get in on the @ivory for Mac beta here I'm going to have a good chuckle. @ivory I'm glad I didn't decide to do the 13.2.1 update just now, since waiting let me grab a slot! But—is there any way to copy the app to my other Macs? On iOS Testflight, that just worked; on the Mac, it's asking me for a code to redeem. (Also: I don't see how to add a second Mastodon account, but I assume that you know that.) @SteveBellovin Testflight should read across multiple macs if you are signed into the same account. There's an add account button in the accounts section of the settings. @ivory Something odd went on on both of those questions. I now have Ivory on my main and backup laptops, though possibly by consuming two test slots; I'll see what happens tomorrow on my desktop. Thanks. @dfergusonjr41 yes this is for Mac. I have to say, having used TweetBot since the beginning, Ivory feels kind of like coming home…  @bragi May or may not have just been because of mastodon.social. But we will keep an eye on that and test some other browsers just in case. Thanks. @bragi Mastodon.social has the most problems because the server gets busy and tasks get queued up pretty often. That means a lot of actions temporarily fail.  @ivory Are you kidding me? My notification didn’t come up and I totally missed it again. Wanted to say that your product is great and I just dropped some real money on a sub. @mogita Unfortunately, that is not possible. We started there, but there's just too many issues with Catalyst. @mogita Ivory for Mac is completely new code. Nothing from Tweetbot for Mac. We were actually building a brand new Tweetbot for Mac based on this until Elon shut us down. 😢

@twoheart Because they are just images and not real emoji. We have to write code for them to work and then do a lot of testing to fix issues they cause. It will get done, but it's not something quick and easy. 🙂 heck yeah i got int. The older mac testflight users won't get updates anymore. @ivory missed@this as bedtime in the uk. Oh well just have to wait. Let's hope I manage when the next batch gets opened up.  @nkwdrulez Unfortunately, Monterey had too many catalyst issues for us. We tried to start with Monterey. @nosgoroth Yes intentional. Not everyone lives in the EU. This was for those in the Pacific. 🙂 @spellman No, none of us have android devices and no experience making apps for that platform. @spellman We are just 3 people making apps for the platform we enjoy and use personally. Not a big company or anything. 🙂 @Malik Sure. This was for those in the Pacific. People live in other parts of the world too. 🙃 @pearfalse We tried to make it work for Monterey, but there were just too many issues with catalyst. @bdielman Unfortunately not. There were too many issues in Monterey. Ivory uses catalyst which is relatively new stuff and there are huge improvements with each OS release. @ivory That's fair. Looking to upgrade my MBP this year anyway so I'll just have to be patient. @ivory looking forward to hopefully getting in on the Mac beta today. Would be great to have synced between Mac and iPad again like I had with Tweetbot! This is the last chance to get into the Mac alpha (limited to around 10k spots by TestFlight). If it's full, you'll just have to wait for the App Store release which shouldn't be too long anyways. Thanks everyone! |
