@ivory Is the "Encrypted push notification" issue on your radar? Started happening ~1 week ago and I've just been hoping it would get resolved. @bens Just a strange mastodon bug. If you constantly get that, go to ivory's settings, notifications, the account that's having the issue, and then turn off all the switches for 10-15 seconds then turn back on. But if you get them on occasion, there's not much we can do at this point. @felface Depends. When should I see it? @dharrison Basically anyone you don't follow. First step to not seeing something you don't want to see is to make sure you aren't following them. 🙂 If there are valid cases where you need to report someone you follow, we can re-evaluate that choice. @ivory Okay it seems consistent now. That’s what I get for trying it out on my home timeline. Having said that, someone I follow might well do something that is reportable. Reporting isn’t muting or blocking, after all. @dharrison Yea we will be keeping an eye on the feedback for that. If a bunch of people are trying to report someone or a post and can't find it, we can make the change. @victor Thanks! We priced our sub properly so that we do not need a tip jar. Your subscription is enough to let us continue to do the best work we can. 🙂  @jann Block and report are the same option. You can try it now and see the menu. It won't actually perform anything until you submit the next view.   @ivory I love that you’re still considered “Early Access” yet we just got a feature in “Edit posts” that we never had with Tweetbot all those years.. What a contrast. Great update, thanks! @kvenden We'll probably remove "early access" when we feel like the app is in a very solid position without any major bugs and our initial roadmap is complete. Then we can focus on all the fun things we want to do in the app. 🙂   @shacker Here or via email. But our list is pretty long already and 99% of the time someone has a feature request it's already on our list. @ivory Gotcha. The feature request is this: From Apple Photos on iOS (or any imaging app), select an image, click Share, and post the image to Mastodon that way. There is no way to add Alt text to the image when posting images this way. i.e. Please add an alt text option to the iOS Share Sheet for Ivory. @rob Mastodon has the capability to enable server-side translations. Admin would have to configure it: https://write.as/sweetmeat/how-to-activate-the-mastodon-v4-deepl-api-text-translation-service @rob You just have to hit the translate option (in the gear button of a post) and it should use it. Setting languages for posts will come when we redesign the compose view. @johngbell95 Depends on your settings. But usually will auto update eventually. Many want the features yesterday so it's best for us to announce them so people know to go force download them. 🙂 @ivory Do you think you might ever allow users to display timelines chronologically with the most recent on the *bottom*? The latest-on-top convention is unfortunate in general, in my opinion, but especially on the Fediverse—where posts can be very long and it is even more of a pain to scroll up to the top of a post only to have to scroll down to read it. @dougdougdoug The answer for now is no. It's a lot of work and so many issues could arise and need to be fixed because of it. But someday when the app is in a good place and we are looking for features to add, might be a possibility?  @ivory unfortunately this release made Ivory unusable for me. I had one account configured on a #GoToSocial instance and Ivory 1.0 crashed when trying to use that account. But after about 5 times of crashing right after starting it would switch to a working account on an Mastodon server. V1.1 only crashes after I tried whether the GoToSocial would work after the update. I can't use it anymore because I can't switch to the mastodon account. :( @maxheadroom You can delete the app and reinstall. Should reset everything. @ivory looks like it reset after a few minutes without the need to delete. But the GoToSocial instance are still cryptonite for Ivory ;) @ivory translation in a pop-up, like the old one in Tweetbot. I love it 🙈  @ivory thanks for the work, loving the app. Any chance of adding a feature where you can add and scroll other instances local timelines? @ivory does it fix the weird issue where I can’t stop craving candy bars even when I’m not hungry?  @ivory Any chance there will be an update that crops longer images to fit the post window? I don't think I'm explaining that well... Something about the images not fitted to the post rubs up against my OCD, I guess.  @ivory I noticed that there is now a button to accept follow requests so that’s a plus! @hhe It's the Avenir that ships on iOS and we've been using it for many years. @fabster_79 No. That will come when we redesign the compose view. 🙂 It's going to be a big project so we will do that a bit later. @ivory Translation is nice but it would be cool for international users to be able to set language of a toot when composing it. Actually I have no clue as to what will be the defined language for this toot while on the webapp I can define on the go between english and my mother tongue (and default to my mother tongue). @ivory Weird, I updated the app but still don’t have the option. I’ll reboot my phone in case… @dezz Because we figured that would be a very rare case most people would unfollow someone first. But waiting to see how people react to how it works over time.  @ivory I love Ivory! Glad I subbed to it. Glad you're adding features to it. I know this might be a niche ask, but any change to be able to add moderation/admin functions to the app so it's an all in one for users AND admins? Even if no, loving the direction you're going. The addition of GIFs is a huge one for me. @antonioserrata We will eventually add some admin features. Just focusing on the users right now. 🙂 @ivory really nice! But for me @icecubesapp is close, if not at the same level and there’s no subscription… @ivory is now a good time to jump off the TestFlight and stay on the App Store? |
