@fabinou definitely for the better, it revealed a very interesting way to help fight against bitrot. Ever since reading your article, my partner and I have been writing games that can be reduced to a simple virtual machine and so we've been able to port our games backward in time on defunct consoles, and hope that it will help them survive equally further ahead in the future.
