Watching Channel One Cup of Figure Skating. And I have to admit that it is rather obvious that most participants are not in their top form.
Which is a bit... unusual, because these are top placed athletes as per the results of the Russian Championships, and normally top three of them would be competing at Euros about now.
(I don't know the dates of Euros this year, tbh, but usually it's around mid January)
Maybe they don't feel like putting much effort into this, even despite the prize money
Although I have to say that I did need that, even if it's not quite the same as watching figure skating live. I need all the inspiration I can get, because I need to finish that damned novel, and I just don't know how at this point.
I was going to do it last year, but... ugh... Frankly, I spent half the year in an emotional coma, and I'm still not recovered. Still, this thing needs to be finished, even if it's now in the category of banned literature. 😆
