In theory, I love getting news and updates through my RSS reader.
In practice, I forget to open it for a couple days, then when I do there's half a thousand new things to read, so I just check the fun ones, mark the news as read, then leave for a few days again so the process starts anew.
It's sort of like my following list on here. I need to throw some things out, even though they are great things, because the greatness doesn't matter if there is so much of it that I end up not engaging with any of it.
And yet I keep making toots like this every couple months and nothing changes. Ah.

@Mayana This why I made my RSS-to-ActivityPub converter that lets you create fedi-compatible accounts for RSS feeds. I follow my feeds on fedi instead of in a separate app. It's primarily what I use the Hometown "exclusive lists" feature for, so I don't see them in my home feed and instead check a list.

Unfortunately my public instance of it got abused, so I now run one just for friend camp users. I could maybe extend its use to dragonscave folks if you're interested?

@Mayana I can also create a few feeds manually for you to try out to see if you even like the user experience of reading your feeds via Hometown to begin with.
