We have technologies like WWW hosts (Wordpress, WriteFreely and whole ActivityPub space), Gemini, IPFS, BitTorrent, Git, SFTP; rich formats like Markdown, office documents, PDFs; so many programs to write in those formats...
Computers were created from the beggining to write, process and distribute text. Using bloated centralized web service for sharing formatted text is really saying something about our current "smart" devices and habits.
