@darkstar I doubt @Gargron can control how other platforms like #Pleroma & #MissKey handle quote posting (the latter two already have this built in). #Mastodon has tremendous influence in the #Fediverse, but at the same time other platforms can ignore Mastond’s suggestions.

And he should not try to control it too. The Fediverse is huge and that was the philosophy behind it - decentralization and no central control.
Besides Misskey and Pleroma, we also have #Rebased as BE and #Soapbox as FE too 🙂
What I love about Soapbox is that we have this fancy thing that lets us remove people from a conversation so we can avoid mentioning people and disturb them just because they happen to be in a thread.
