Kdenlive

How you know you had a good year: Both #Filmora and #Adobe decide to use #Kdenlive as a keyword in their online ads to try and sell their own video-editing software to unsuspecting users.

Filmora displays ads on Yahoo when you search for "kdenlive"
Adobe displays ads on Bing when you search for "kdenlive".

@kdenlive @kdenlive have you seen Louis Rossmann cover Filmora's shady tactics yesterday on his channel?

Ah yes, search up Kdenlive to find something that actually works for my system only to have adobe ads shoved in my face, that must mean adobe products work as a 1 to 1 substitute on linux right?

Right...?

@kdenlive idk if that's better or worse then online ads pretending to be an official Kdenlive download that's laced with malware.

@kdenlive The Wondershare marketing crew is notorious for hijacking certain keywords with their own blog articles to have a top spot in the Google search results and sell more of their product. I avoid their articles now when they show up in Google.

Hey, why you gotta scare the poor multi-million dollar companies like that?

@kdenlive KDE is an awesome company. I just wish you guys would spend just a little bit more time trying to get Falcon working better. It's 'almost' a great browser. Don't you guys realize there's a HUGE void in the browser market? Like, you guys could take over. We'll with Linux users anyway.
