Yes. #Mastodon is on the heavy side. #Pleroma and #Akkoma are lighter weight much more suited for single user instances.

I am sure there will be further development and forks of projects that support #ActivityPub

@nicholasr Pleroma tends to die a few years down the road and that thing is still not fixed, or so I heard, though.
