The assumption here is that corporate managements know what they’re doing, that all they do is wise and sensible and beneficial to the corporation’s interests, even that the corporation’s interests, as viewed by management, include the successful operation of the airline. And assumes that the “customers” are the corporation’s actual customers and not ledger items in the assets column for the benefit of the actual customers, the shareholders. Too jaded?
