Gregory's ServerWith respect to blogs, social media and comments, I discovered something cool the other day: With the ActivityPub plugin, Wordpress blogs and Mastodon get intertwined - the blog behaves like a mastodon user that can be followed, and comments on the blog's postings in Mastodon get mirrored back to the blog.

@tomw @HansZauner @Zolytech I noticed there is also an ActivityPub module for Drupal also being developed. I agree with Tom though, I would be careful in its usage until you confirm it's a natural fit for your Mastadon instance/audience. There is a fine line between providing useful content via links and spamming the fediverse. @bryanruby @tomw @HansZauner Yeah, the thing about the fediverse is, while there's a lot of posts of course, we're not being bombarded with insane algorithm tweaked content and advertisements. So compared to what most of us have become accustomed to, its very "quiet" out here. |
