 This was an extremely fun thing to do on a Sunday. People made chains of literally dozens of quote tweets saying nothing and other people would click through until they got to this tweet. So remembering me from Usenet covers a large portion of my life.  @darius oh shit I was 31 and needed help understanding how the firehose worked and could you use an IRC client and were hashtags like chatrooms or @darius I remember this. I smiled at the gag and didn’t dig to bedrock. Learning more than six years later that it was, of course, Darius down there is the least expected and best plot twist of the day. |
