Even Mastodon had something going for it in past times (even if it was mostly nerds talking about codes and scripts or something)

@dansup @MikeFromLFE Exactl what Dan said. These are early days, but Pixelfed will get there — especially when people begin to understand the underpinnings of ActivityPub and how they can follow Pixelfed accounts from their Mastodon interface. And vice versa. |
@MikeFromLFE There is a significant difference between text posts and photo posts.
The former requires almost no effort, the latter does.
Not to mention how "curated" Instagram is.
Pixelfed shouldn't be directly compared to Mastodon/Twitter as we strive for quality over content, and that being said we are working to improve discoverability across servers!
