@Gargron Elon’s kid was in a car that was blocked and attacked by a nutter thanks to the doxxing of his location by bad actors. Even if it’s “public info” on some database, to broadcast it regularly on Twitter will only help stalkers. It serves no other purpose.

For Mastodon to support this doxxing (inc posting links on Twitter from official mastodon accounts) is not just spiteful, it is sinister and shows an unethical side to the management of this OSS software.

Knowing what I know about Twitter's security, I'm not *real* happy that two of those companies are my banks' initial customer service entry-points.

I’m waiting to see how long it takes for the little bird to succumb to the noxious fumes that are permeating the site. A bluebird in a coal mine, gasping for air.
Elon moves further into the tunnel and the tiny bird is huffing and puffing doing it’s best to fly the coop, but Elon keeps our feathered friend caged.

@Gargron My last tweet on Oct 27 was re-tweet of instructions from that account on how to join Mastodon. Retweets disappear with deleted accounts. People are finding their way anyway.

@Gargron Idea: almost all the resistance I hear is “Picking a server is too complicated”. We know it’s not, but what about the possibly of an an option “pick a server for me”?
Could be from a random subset, or to get fancy ask three questions to narrow the choice. If there was a “pick one for me” option it can certainly say, you can always change later. #random #twitterexodus
